Sometimes it is difficult to connect with a teacher. Building a trusting relationship takes time and patienceâit doesnât happen after one visit. Remember, it is your job to go slowly and be patient with the intention to make the relationship work.
Sometimes a teacher may not want to be coached or is afraid of being found lacking in skills. Perhaps she had a negative experience with another coach and âknows how bad coaching can be.â When you can resist taking the teacherâs responses personally, and simply be present and open, you can use the tips offered here to gradually strengthen a relationship.
